How long does it take to transform a bench or a table in public space into a rich dining table without spending money?

Socio Picnic

Socio Picnic

Our project Socio-Pick-nick asks the participants to bring their own leftover surplus foods to the meeting. These foods would probably land in the residential bins if they were not shared with the people in need in the street. The project focuses on redefining the relation between the people living in the street and those who live in apartments. Instead of donating, we invite them to a common table where we also eat from the foods placed there, with trust. The event was an experimental program accompanied by 'The urban Robin Hoods or who owns the food waste?' panel discussion and film evening.
